Thailand Charter Week prepares for inaugural edition

By Katia Damborsky   12 November 2019

A trade-only event, the 2019 Thailand Charter Week is getting ready to open its doors for day one at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina in the heart of Phuket.

Held in time to coincide with the Ocean Marina Pattaya Boat Show, the first-ever Thailand Charter Week will take place between 16 - 21 November.

The boat show has been designed to promote the cruising grounds of Thailand and the Andaman Sea as a premium yacht charter destination by TYBA, the Thai Yachting Business Association.

The trade-only event will welcome yacht brokers and other industry professionals looking to expand their knowledge of the region and the local fleet.

Twenty yachts will be making an appearance at the inaugural event, with the largest on the lineup measuring 41m, or 135ft.

The first three days of the boat show will give attendees the chance to step on board the yachts on display and source first-hand insight into the yachts on behalf of their clients.

Yacht tours will take place all day, and brokers will be able to acquaint themselves with the layout, amenities and the captains and crew of each vessel.

The second half of the show will include overnight cruises, allowing participants to familiarise themselves with the waters in this pocket of South East Asia.
