Superyachts Head to Phuket for the Thailand Yacht Show 2016

By Rebecca Bradbury   14 December 2016

An amazing selection of charter yachts are now arriving in Phuket’s Ao Po Grand Marina in time for the upcoming Thailand Yacht Show, which kicks off tomorrow on 15th December.

The second edition of the Thailand Yacht Show will open its doors tomorrow, marking the start of the South East Asia yachting season and showcasing some of the region’s very best charter yachts. Running for four days, the event welcomes industry professionals and consumers alike, and aims to present Thailand as Asia’s principal hub for yacht charters.

Headlining the show will be the majestic 90m/295ft superyacht ‘Lauren L’, teaming with state-of-the-art amenities across her four expansive decks. Able to comfortably sleep 20 guests, she boasts multiple deck areas, a sundeck Jacuzzi, opulent interiors, and spa and beauty facilities.

After the Phuket show, she will be opening her doors for charters throughout Thailand and further afield in the idyllic destinations of the Maldives and Seychelles.

Joining Lauren L at the show will be the 51m/167ft expedition yacht ‘Northern Sun’. Based year-round in Thai waters, she has a distinct Asian influence throughout her interior for the upmost tranquillity, as well as chic deck areas for dining, relaxing and socialising.

The 61m/197ft motor yacht PARAFFIN will also be impressing show attendees with her signature Feadship pedigree and notable design features, including a sundeck spa pool that converts into an oversized dining table for up to 20 guests.

Another must-see yacht will be the Norman Foster-designed 41m/134ft superyacht ‘Ocean Emerald’. Her bold exterior lines never fail to command attention as she sails through Malaysia, Myanmar and Indonesia, while her contemporary, minimalistic interior is similarly striking.

Alongside the line-up of luxury yachts, there will be a whole host of exhibitors from the industry and a lively event programme, which begins today with an expert-led seminar on the ‘Future of Yachting in Thailand’.

Other happenings include an official opening ceremony followed by a welcome party and an invite-only superyacht VIP dinner on the first night of the show, while Lauren L, Northern Sun and Ocean Emerald will be hosting their own celebrations on 16th, 17th and 18th December respectively.
