Lürssen Superyacht ‘Ester III’ (Project Green) Completes Sea Trials

By Editorial Team   13 August 2014

In a statement released today, celebrated German shipyard Lürssen have announced that the 66m/216’5 superyacht ‘Ester III’, built under the name of ‘Project Green’ has successfully completed her sea trials in the Baltic Sea.

Motor yacht ‘Ester III’ is the third superyacht to be rolled out in what has been an impressive line-up from Lürssen this year, to include the 95.2m/213ft Kismet (Project Global) and most recently the 104m/341ft ‘Quantum Blue. The sea trials took place in the Baltic Sea under what the shipyard described as perfect weather conditions and subsequently she is due to be delivered on time in autumn 2014.

As with luxury charter yacht ‘Kismet’, ‘Ester III’ boasts design from Espen Oeino who according to the statement has given her ‘a very masculine appearance’ with her ‘white and grey painting and her vertical bow underlining this strong character’. She is also said to have accommodated all of her Owner’s exacting requirements to offer the ultimate in luxury living at sea, including a large pool on the main deck and a helicopter pad on the sundeck.

Designed by Reymond Langton who also collaborated with Oeino on ‘Kismet’ and is responsible for the interior design on the 2014-built ‘Mondango 3’, Ester III’s interior is in the midst of being installed. Lürssen described the styling as ‘elaborate design, the joinery the joinery work as well as the loose pieces of furniture made by Silver Lining, will stun those who will have the privilege to come aboard.’

It is yet to be revealed whether or not charter guests will be among those privileged, but for the time being there are a wide selection of Lurssen-built charter yachts on the global fleet.
