    Nosy Be & Mojo

    Nosy Be & Mojo

Start your incredible Madagascan charter by touching down at the airport in Nosy Be, the largest island in Madagascar’s archipelago.

Located in the heart of the Indian Ocean and teaming with exotic wildlife and plants, Nosy Be is the perfect starting point for a cruise around the coral reefs and nature reserves of stunning Madagascar. Nosy Be means “Big Island” in Malagasy and this tropical beach resort is a popular destination with some of the most varied landscapes in the world.

Transfer from the airport to the nearby town of Hell-Ville for the evening and enjoy a taste of Africa in the brightly coloured streets of this beautifully-restored colonial town.

    Ankazoberavina Island Russian Bay

On your first day at sea, you’ll set sail from the port of Nosy Be and cruise through crystal-clear water to
    the island of Ankazoberavina.

Ankazoberavina. Situated in a marine park and nature reserve, this tiny island is home to 2 different species of sea turtle and hundreds of varieties of flora and fauna. Spend the morning snorkelling or diving and get up close with some of the colourful species of fish who live in the coral reefs around the island. From July to September, Ankazoberavina is also a prime whale-watching spot as hundreds of humpback whales arrive from the South Pole to mate in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

After lunch, head to Russian Bay, at the tip of the Ampasindava peninsula. Drop anchor in this sheltered cove and spend your afternoon exploring the ruins of the old Russian military fort. Then soak up the sun on one of the pristine white beaches lined with tropical filaos and coconut trees before enjoying a romantic dinner served onboard your superyacht.

    Nosy Iranja & Baramahamay Bay

    Nosy Iranja & Baramahamay Bay

On day 3, leave Russian Bay bright and early for a 3-hour cruise to the island of Nosy Iranja. An important
    breeding reserve,

Nosy Iranja is a haven for hawksbill turtles with a small information centre in the south of the island where you can learn more about these gentle
sea creatures. At low tide, walk overthe sandbank which divides the two halves of the island, then take a stroll around the small fishing village and visit the lighthouse designed by Gustav Eiffel to enjoy the panoramic views from the top.

From Nosy Iranja, sail through tranquil turquoise water to the Bay of Baramahamay for the night. This sheltered bay with its lush mangrove swamps is a truly special destination. Take a sunset cruise through the estuary in the tender and watch tropical birds fly overhead before you spend the evening relaxing in the most idyllic setting imaginable.

Tanikely Marine Reserve & Komba Island

After another early start, you’ll wake up in the Nosy Tanikely Marine Reserve, one of the best and most diverse diving sites in the world.

The island of Nosy Tanikely itself is uninhabited except for a huge colony of flying foxes, but below the water it’s a completely different story. Spend the morning discovering thousands of species of marine life including reef fish, sea turtles, schooling jacks, harlequin shrimp and blue-ribbon eels. Whales sharks regularly feed in the waters around the island and it’s another great location for whale-watching during the migration season.

In the afternoon, you’ll have a second opportunity to meet Madagascar’s famous lemurs over on nearby Nosy Komba or Lemur Island. Explore the enchanting little village of Ampangorinana, stroll around the local market and take the ‘Lemur Walk’ to visit the island’s friendly black lemur colony. Later, why not sit back and enjoy an evening cocktail or two in one of the lively beach bars as you watch the sun slowly dip below the horizon into
