The 44.8m/147' motor yacht 'Blue Star' (ex. Contico) was built by Keith Marine at their Palatka, Florida shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Donald Starkey and she was delivered to her owner in April 1993. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Fry Associates Inc. - Fryco and she was last refitted in 1999.
Blue Star has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Blue Star is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3508 DITA) 8-cylinder 855hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots. Her water tanks store around 30,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, AMS classification society rules.
