The 40.7m/133'6" sail yacht 'Surama' (ex. William Tai) was built by Royal Huisman in the Netherlands at their Vollenhove shipyard. Her interior is styled by British designer design house Winch Design and she was completed in 1997. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Ted Fontaine and she was last refitted in 2017.
Surama has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 3 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Surama is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Mercedes (6R183TE93) 570hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 11 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 12 knots with a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles from her 21,100 litre fuel tanks at 10 knots. Her water tanks store around 5,860 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules.
