The UK’s offering to the busy calendar of superyacht regattas returns in 2018 as part of the shipyard's 30th anniversary celebrations.

Showcasing a mixture of modern and classic sailing yachts, the fifth edition of The Pendennis Cup will take place once again in the waters of Falmouth Bay. A biennial event, the competitive regatta usually attracts as many as 15 superyachts, fighting it out in the challenging UK conditions to take home the prestigious first place position.

2014 saw superyacht VELACARINA sailing to victory followed by superyacht CHRISTOPHER, who took second place overall.

Known for its exciting off-shore programme, which features the best of local Cornwall cuisine and entertainment, 2014 saw an impressive closing display from the Red Arrows – the Royal Air Force’s Aerobatic Team.

A crowd of over 600 guests is expected to watch the dramatic spectacle, which is supported by the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club and RCYC Events. The 2015 event will use the new ORCsy (Offshore Racing Congress superyacht) rule.

Superyachts battle it out in the challenging UK conditions to win the prestigious first place position.
