Dates to be announced
Spectacular racing will return to the beautiful waters of the British Virgin Islands when the eighth edition of the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous kicks off in March 2019.
Organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, the superyacht regatta will welcome an impressive fleet of sailing yachts for three days of thrilling pursuit racing off Virgin Gorda and a sparkling line-up of social activities. The event is back after taking a year off in 2018.
Competing in the tricky conditions of the Virgin Islands requires smart tactical sailing. Plus, adding to the excitement, the race committee pick one of more than 30 courses ranging from 14 to 30 nautical miles on each day of the regatta depending on the prevailing conditions.
At the upcoming meet, all eyes will be on the 34m/111ft sailing yacht NILAYA from Baltic Yachts to see if she can secure the overall title for the fourth consecutive edition after dominating Class A at the 2017 regatta.
There is also a rendezvous programme for motor yachts, meaning it's possible to join in the action and get a close-up view of the exciting racing from the comfort of a luxury charter yacht.
