Somerset House, London, England
February & September
Held in London twice a year, London Fashion Week is a clothing trade show and one of the 'Big Four' fashion weeks, alongside New York, Milan and Paris.
Organised by the British Fashion Council (BFC), London Fashion Week first took place in 1984. Although it is a trade event, it attracts a lot of media attention, is officially sponsored by Mercedes-Benz and Toni & Guy and is attended by over 5,000 press and buyers.
The majority of the events take place at Somerset House in central London. A hugh marquee in the courtyard holds several catwalks and shows by some of the top designers, while inside the house itself an exhibition takes place of over 150 designers.
London Fashion Week is followed immediately by London Fashion Weekend, a retail-focused event that takes place at the same venue but is open to the public.
Why not organise your luxury yacht charter to stop off in London for this fabulous event. With so much to see in the city itself, it will certainly be a worthwhile stop off on your charter vacation.
