Ideal for Summer Season
Resplendent in wild beauty, steeped in history and untouched by tourism, the French island of Corsica offers a unique blend of class and charm. With deep secluded bays, sun-kissed stretches of sand, quaint fishing villages and miles of picturesque coastline, the yachting hotspot is certainly well suited for discovering by superyacht, while vineyards, historical sites and enigmatic hilltop villages entice on-land exploration.
- Day 1
Pick up at Calvi
Start your Mediterranean yacht charter in Calvi, a destination full of life and brimming in culture on the northwest coast of Corsica.
Meet your luxury yacht in Port Calvi, situated on the southern tip of the town's 6 kilometre-long beach. We will proceed out to anchor to allow everyone to settle in and enjoy an afternoon dip in the crystal clear waters of the bay. In the evening, we will take a short cruise along the coast to Girolata (25nm, about 2 hours).
- Day 2
Girolata morning cruise to Capo Rosso
From Girolata, we will take a short cruise (about 1 hour) to Capo Rosso for some exploration by tender through the Scandola Nature Reserve.
The only way to explore the Scandola Nature Reserve, which is a World Heritage Site, is by boat. Strange rock formations emerge from the crystal clear sea in the Gulf of Girolata and the coastline is peppered with jagged inlets and caves.
- Day 3
Day at the beach
The beaches near Capo Rosso are some of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.
In the afternoon, we will move to Bonifacio (20nm, around 2.5 hours), a town on the southern tip of Corsica with one of the most dramatic port entrances in the Mediterranean. Here, you can enjoy the restaurants and nightlife around the port area, as well as explore the historic walled Citadel.
- Day 4
Morning move to Sardinia
Moving from Bonifacio to Sardinia (30nm, 2.5hour) you will have a choice of anchorages for the day: Cala di Volpe, Liscia di Vacca or Golfo di Marinella. Spend your time relaxing and swimming in the crystal clear waters.
Spend the night in Porto Cervo (1 hour). There will time to shop in the designer boutiques and experience the fine dining scene.
- Day 5
La Maddalena Islands
The La Maddalena Islands are about an hour's yacht journey away. Now a national park, the beautiful area is best explored by tender.
In the evening, watch the sun go down in your peaceful surroundings with a flute of champagne in hand.
- Day 6
Back in Corsica, Ile Piana (1.5 hours) could be mistaken for the Caribbean with its gorgeous sunkissed shores.
In the early evening, we will cruise to Vecchio ( 23nm, 2 hours). There will be time to stretch your legs ashore in this 16-century walled town. From here, we will travel over night to Elba (8 hours).
- Day 8
Passage from Elba to St Tropez
The passage from Elba to St Tropez spans 166 miles and takes around 14 hours. It's recommended to have a stopover near Saint Florence, which is a four-hour cruise from Elba.
Depart from Saint Florence in the late afternoon and cruise the remaining 120 miles overnight to arrive in St Tropez early the next morning.
