The largest island in the archipelago, Isabela Island accounts for half of the total landmass of the Galapagos Islands. With a cove shaped by the remnants of an ancient volcano, the island is unsurprisingly one of the more popular anchorages in the region. Thanks to an upwelling of cold water currents, there’s a steady stream of marine life to familiarise yourself with when visiting Isabela Island.
