IRIS BLUE, the latest 55m (180.5ft) Heesen superyacht, has been observed embarking on her sea trials in the North Sea. Designed for waterfront living with a beach club and seamless access to the sea, she is scheduled for delivery later this year.
Formerly known as Project Apollo, motor yacht IRIS BLUE showcases the "evolutionary" design inherited from the preceding Heesen 55M Steel Class. Although she stands as the inaugural superyacht in the series to feature the revamped exterior lines.
Maintaining the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) crafted by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, complemented by exterior design courtesy of Omega Architects and interior design meticulously crafted by Luca Dini Design & Architecture.
Providing all guests with incredible sweeping views of destinations like Ibiza and Croatia, the sundeck is the crowning glory on board the motor yacht with a wrap-around bar, complemented by a whirlpool Jacuzzi. The atrium showcases a modern design, with wider staircases that facilitate seamless crew movement from the sun lounge to the sundeck.
The result is beautiful: we retained the family look and feel but gave it an elegant touch.
The main salon boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with few mullions, creating an assertive aesthetic, and idyllic viewpoints for making the most of the Mediterranean scenery. This effect is accentuated by the continuous tinted windows that extend the entire optical length of the yacht.
Offering comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests in a six-cabin layout, motor yacht IRIS BLUE features a spacious owner's suite on the upper deck with a French balcony.
