Final Preparations Underway for Monaco Yacht Show 2014

By Editorial Team   23 September 2014

The YachtCharterFleet team have arrived in Monaco in time to see the final preparations being made in Port Hercules for the 2014 Monaco Yacht Show.

Over the past couple of days a selection of the world’s most luxurious superyachts have been making their way to Monaco for what will be the show’s biggest year yet. The 2014 Monaco Yacht Show will open its doors tomorrow morning with 118 yachts lining the glamorous docks of Port Hercules for the highly anticipated event, 15 more than last year’s show –  a record seven of which are in the over 70m size range. Superyacht crews, Captains, Owner’s and brokers are out in force as the tension builds for tomorrow.

The luxury yachting industry’s leading brokerages and shipyards have also travelled in and put up their state-of-the-art stands ready to showcase their latest CA’s and new-builds to the world. The brand new Yacht Club de Monaco takes pride of place in the principality this year, ready to welcome even more visitors than 2013’s record-breaking attendance of 33,000. The new yacht club will also provide the setting for this evening’s annual opening party hosted by Camper & Nicholsons International.

We will be reporting from the show all week until it wraps up on Saturday, bringing you the latest from the world’s most renowned superyacht meeting.
