Latest Amels 60 Project WITCHCRAFT undertakes first round of sea trials

By Nina Done   8 December 2022

Known as Project Witchcraft, the Amels 60 superyacht has ventured into the open sea for the first time to begin her sea trials. It comes after her successful launch in July from the Dutch yard's dry dock facilities in Vlissingen.

Marking the second hull in the Limited Edition series, following hot on the heels of charter yacht COME TOGETHER who was delivered to her owner in June, the 60m (197ft) Project WITCHCRAFT showcases a clean, linear profile with bespoke glazing designed in collaboration with the owner.

Behind the exterior lines of this 830 GT yacht is the Monaco-based designer Espen Øino International, with her technical elements engineered by Damen Yachting. Meanwhile, Canadian studio Burdifilek undertook her interior styling featuring a chic monochromatic scheme throughout. She will provide accommodation for 12 guests across 6 suites, with additional space for up to 12 crew.

She features state-of-the-art technology and engineering for all her onboard systems, as well as a hybrid propulsion system enabling her to cruise in diesel-electric mode, significantly reducing her energy consumption and providing considerable fuel savings to her owner.

On board highlights include an expansive sun deck covering over 1,744 square feet, as well as a touch ‘n’ go helipad and an ocean-going range of 4,500 nautical miles.
