Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous

Phuket, Thailand

December

By Oliver Pearson

Debuting in 2016, the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR) is fast establishing itself as the leading superyacht event in Thailand and the surrounding region.

Taking place at Kata Rocks, one of Phuket’s most prized luxury resorts, the invitation-only superyacht rendezvous offers visitors three days of impressive superyacht displays, bespoke activities, glamorous parties and the characteristic hospitality of Thailand.

Superyacht owners, Kata Rocks villa owners and the Asian glitterati are among those invited to attend, with world-class boat builders such as Benetti and Feadship also making an appearance.

The superyachts in show, meanwhile, are visiting or based in Phuket, which is fast becoming South East Asia's leading luxury location and yachting hotspot.

Every year, KRSR marks the start of the region's cruising season with a glitzy party on the final night of the event and the rendezvous serves as a prime-time opportunity for owners to showcase their flagship vessels.

Highlights of the event include the King's Cup Superyacht Experience, a cruise day for a private beach barbecue and a yacht hop. The Kata Rocks resort also opens its doors for guests to make use of its facilities, allowing guests to escape to an award-winning spa for a spot of relaxation.
